I strongly dislike country-style antiqued furniture that bear the exact same brick corner scar in six or seven places. Paradoxically, I like shopping in antique stores for furniture.

I like that there's a weird tension between 'distressed' (negative term) and 'personality' (positive term). Something bad happened to the thing which makes the thing better than it was before. It's sort of like how Chinese potters valued crazing (fine cracks in a glaze) and spent eons developing celadon recipes that would craze every time. But Japanese potters saw crazing as a defect and spent their eons developing non-crazing enamel glazes and firing techniques.

Anyway, battle damage is a selling point for action figures. I think that says it all.

Re: live from bklyn exists because of goose grease

Aw. I agree. Do you think there will be a larger integration of the digital with the print through things like the 3D barcode? (So my smart phone can scan the code and go straight to extended content online.) Do you see 3D having any real affect on the design and advertising industries? I'm excited about new areas of design, but will never give up my print.

Re: dailey does prints

Love the Video...
